BlackHole - Torrents move to Completed then never get renamed

So, I’ve finally got Sonarr to work, sort of.

I’ve got it to the point where it ill seek out and download a file, the problem is, that while the torrent is downloading it’s in “watch/Sonarr” but when it’s completed it’s in “completed/Sonarr”

It seems that the file moves to this completed folder when the download is done, but then Sonarr can no longer see the file, thus it never gets renamed.

Where can I set the folder to watch for completed files? It seems like Sonarr is constantly looking in “watch/Sonarr” for completed files.

Alternately, how can I disable files from moving to the Completed folder at all?

Hope this makes sense.

It watches the directory you set when you added the Torrent Blackhole download client, if your download client moves them after completion you need to set it to where ever it moves them to.

As in copy instead of move? You can’t, Blackhole has no information to know whether to torrent is still seeding or not so it moves the files. If you mean something else, please clarify.

Hey markus, thanks again for helping me.

I think I’ve gotten it to work, I told rtorrent not to move the file once it’s complete, so it stays in watch/sonarr.

Sonarr seems to rename the file, but at this point I’m not sure where the renamed version goes?

My "TV Shows/Show/Season/ folder does not get the new file.

I had a look at the trace log (here: http://pastebin.com/12YQDSCe) but I couldn’t find anything about the file being moved, or where it was moved to.

The episode in question is "The Last Man On Earth, S01E09. I had the exact same problem when I was testing Bobs Burgers (Which may not show up in this trace log)

Check the path in either history or the details for the episode. I don’t see any mention of moving in this log snippet.

The show path is: /share/MD0_DATA/Media/TV Shows/The Last Man On Earth which is correct.

I’m not sure where the history is.

Something is definitely happening to the files once they are completed, because they are being removed from the watch/sonarr folder.

They are no longer being moved to completed/sonarr (I’ll take another look around some other directories to see if I can locate the files)

[Edit]

Looks like I found the files, seem Sonarr never got a chance to rename them. Looks like rTorrent moved the files to yet another directory …

Activity: History in Sonarr is what I was referring to.

It has a mind of its own!

Seriously! lol

Is there no way in Sonarr to seperate the downloading folder and the post processing folder?

rTorrent is giving me a hard time with this, and I feel it would be easier to split it up in Sonarr.

Sonarr only needs to know where the files are when it needs to import them, so just point it at the final location wherever rtorrent puts them.

This is in the black hole settings?

But my rTorrent is setup to scan /watch/ for new .torrent files, if I change the black hole setting to point to where the files are completed /completed/ then the torrents would never start in rtorrent.

Or am I completely mistaken?

Definitely mistaken, not sure about completely, Sonarr asks for two paths: Torrent folder and Watch folder. Torrent folder is where it drops the torrents, watch folder is where the completed torrents end up.

If you set them to the same location then you have the limitation you describe.

Hmm, I think I get it.

The labels are just a bit confusing.

Torrent Folder (This is the watch directory)
Watch Folder (This is the completed downloads directory)

Is that correct?

If so, they should be labeled as so in my opinion:

Torrent Folder = Watch Folder
Watch Folder = Completed Downloads Folder
