Banshee origins is downloaded instead of normal serie

Today Banshee origins got downloaded instead of the normal Banshee. The import afterwards failed since the name didn’t match but I think this is wrong since it has nothing to do with the normal season as it’s a special. It downloaded Banshee origins S03E01 as normal Banshee S03E01 which is aired tonight, so not available yet. I guess this is because the problems with the air time but this can still happen when the air time is reached and the normal episode isn’t released yet.

Are you on master or develop branch? I’m on develop and it’s not trying to match up the Origins/finding any releases yet (makes sense). Not that if you are on master, that would help you any…

I’m on master, but this is possibly fixed in dev?

No, there isn’t a fix for this in develop. Sounds like your indexer linked that release to the wrong TVRage ID. If you blacklist the release in Sonarr it won’t try to get it again, but will grab the release from tonight. You can blacklist it in history.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I’ve checked the indexer and don’t see a tvrage id or something. Another thing is, a banshee origins serie is available for every banshee episode so I guess this will went wrong every week.

Why does it match Banshee to Banshee.Origins? It’s only a part of the name which is equal, isn’t this a flaw in the search mechanism?

It didn’t match the title, it matched the tvrage ID (which is not visible on the show page normally, but shows up in search results/RSS feeds.

Did another check and you are right, problem is the banshee origins are specials of banshee so for tvrage this is the same show, so the real problem seems to be the wrong episode numbers in the scene release names. What a pity, I will try to blacklist them all

Do you have any shows with “Origins” in them? You could add that to your blacklisted release words as a temporary work-around…
