Avoid False Torrents by File Extension

im getting a lot of false matches to torrents with nothing but a file with a non video extension in them, but with a convincing torrent name. once a down load has started could sonnarr detect the dummy torrent, blacklist the torrent and try again?

is there a way to avoid these torrents containing no video file in them, when the torrent name is correct.

thanks

No, Sonarr has no way of know which files are in the releases, requiring the torrents to be trusted/approved is the best way to avoid these fakes.

hi markus, are you saying there is an option in sonnarr’ to ‘require trusted’? i cant find it.

For the public trackers there is an option to require trusted/verified only, I believe the default is required, but its an advanced option, so make sure those are shown.

thanks found it…

Could Sonarr at least auto-mark the download as failed and blacklist the release if there were no suitable files found, rather than sitting at 100% until it’s manually marked as failed?

This would cause issue with RARed releases or another form of legitimate compression, we’re going to continue to err on the side of caution and let manual intervention be used.
