So I had been using NZBdrone and SAb for a long time but decided to try NZBget since I have it all running on a HP N54L.
It seemed to be working fine but lately it seems that it doesn’t like the downloads and will download a show multiple times even though it successfully extracts it (possible because the names are hashed?). My question is basically should I be using Drone to try and sort/move/rename everything or would the NZBGet script videosort be better?
You want drone to sort/move/rename or it will not know the file has been successfully downloaded until after it rescanned the series folder.
Make sure you have completed download handling in drone enabled and also check your quality profile, drone will download upgrades if the cutoff hasn’t been met or if a proper is released (a fix for a bad release), but won’t re-download if it hasn’t imported a file or the hashed release fails to import.
I’ve RTFM and believe I have it all setup as per best practices and have my quality profiles etc all down pat. As I said it was working with SAB but seems a bit off with Get.
I’m not using drone factory but instead using the categories and folder inside the download client config area (if that makes sense).
I will leave it as it is then and try to figure out whats happening and worst case I will switch back to sab.
You definitely don’t want to use that, CDH in drone is better, itensures things aren’t moved too soon (drone factory) and keeps track of everything properly within drone.
Hmm that’s odd. I could have sworn I followed documentation on the wiki/github that specifically said this was a better way of having things process than drone factory. I can change this if that’s what you suggest as CP/Drone/Get are all on the same server.
Having a closer look it seems that get may be the issue as it has downloaded a show correctly twice but still says it has failed.
Yes, CDH is, but Category Local Path is not required unless SAB/get is running on a remote machine. drone will get the path from SAB/get and import it as long as it can access it (if its on the same PC it will be able to).
