Description of issue:
It is doing some really weird stuff. It downloads a file but after a few minutes the files are no longer there in my completed directory. It also keeps downloading over and over again so I have been downloading the same files for 2 days

I deleted the application and reinstalled a fresh one but it is happening again. Then deleted all my files in the completed folder and started again. This time is created some new series folders but not others, added new files to its corresponding folder in some instances and not in others. I really don’t know what is going on. Downloaded one particular series to test what is does and the files have been deleted from the completed folder 3 times.
Any suggestions

Is it the same download every time? If Sonarr has already imported a download with the same hash (torrents only) then it won’t import it again and if it’s finished seeding it will tell the client to remove it.

Nothing in your log covers that though; next time post a more complete log elsewhere and link it here, as requested.

To clarify; I downloaded 911 lone star. It downloaded episode 2 and then episode 1. Sonarr had both episodes listed on the calendar as being successfully downloaded and both episodes show successful download on SABnzbd. A few minutes later episode 2 disappeared and then episode 1 from the completed folder on my mac. Sonar and SABnzbd still show everything is all good but I don’t have the files anymore? I ran the all update and sonarr is now saying they are not downloaded so SABnzbd tries to download it again. However it is still listed in the history so SABnzbd aborts because it is a duplicate. This has been happening over and over again, going round and round in circles.

It is also downloading duplicates of the same episode
sometimes it moves episodes into their appropriate folders but not others
It has begun to download episodes of series I have never requested
I have only been having these problems since the last update.

Something altogether unrelated, I have been watching my downloaded files on plex and recently I have been selecting a show but plex plays a completely different file. Not sure whether this has anything to do with it as well.

  • Post the log file, not a line or two, or just the error from the Logs table
  • Post the full log to hastebin/pastebin/dropbox/google drive or something similar and link it here
  • Do not post them directly here. Post in .txt not .doc, .rtf or some other formatted document

Sonarr will import files to the series folder specified when you added the series, it’ll be there if Sonarr imported it unless something deleted it. Look at the history for that episode to see the grab, import and delete (if applicable).

Check permissions to start.

Have you set Sonarr to the wrong folder for a series or in Plex select the wrong series? Those are the only ways I can think of it happening.

Ok I worked some stuff out

  1. Realigned plex with the correct folder and it seems to be working normally again. Thanks for that.

  2. Changed the quality profile of my downloads to only one type ie only 720 and it seems to have worked wonders.

  3. unticked all sorting instructions from SABnzbd and the files are own loading and staying. No disappearing files from their folders

  4. Not deleting history form Sonarr, seems to make a difference

  5. Duplicate files still downloading ie. Same file downloading with the same name. Random unrequested files have stopped

Post in .txt not .doc, .rtf or some other formatted document

Google docs is formatted, next time upload the log file to google drive and link that.

What is something in the log that was grabbed multiple times?
