Hi guys,
I can’t seem to get Sonarr to grab whole shows/seasons anymore. It does seem to grab new episodes as they are released, but nothing when I click the automatic search.
I’ve checked that there are available downloads within my profile/quality settings and manual download works fine.
Would someone with more experience mind taking a look at the debug logs for me?

Interesting, mine has never grabbed season packs automatically (only manually). Figured that was by design. You’re saying yours does, or did rather i guess?
Yes, I’ve had no issue just clicking the magnifying glass on an entire show or season. Within a minute SAB is full of episodes.
Ah, misunderstanding. It is not grabbing a season pack but each individual episode. Gotcha now.
You have quite a few possible issues here that would stop automatic searches but are ignored for manual searches.
You can do a search for “reject” and see a lot of various possible reasons. I would start with making adjustments in the settings and trying again as a means of trial and error. Mark may be able to give you an exact reason though, i’m just trying to get you started with troubleshooting until he looks at the logs.
Not sure if applicable here, but if you already have a couple of episodes in a season, the season packs are rejected because you already have one or more of that season. Assuming the episodes you have and the season pack are the same quality, or the episodes you already have are better…
Hey Austin, I think you’ve hit the nails on the head and thanks for the help with log files.
BUT what seems to be happening now is that Sonarr tries to grab the entire season in a single file. This is undesirable for me for a few reasons like my cache’s limited size, disk writes (Sonarr has enough RAM allocated to store and entire episode so that writes are onces per episode).
Can i instruct Sonarr to grab ONLY individual episodes??
Austin, when a season pack fails (which is often and another reason I despise them) it does now grab the individual episodes… so thanks again. If I could just get it to skip season packs I’ll have a pretty good little setup!
Hey Thirrian, I just tested this and it still grabbed a season pack for a season that I had 6 episodes of the highest quality that my profile allows. Weird!
Settings > Profiles > Release Profiles (at the bottom)
Maybe you can utilize that with the must not contain keywords to try and pinpoint packs
You can’t exclude them directly but you can set an absolute maximum size on the Settings / Indexers page.
