I manually added a show. Then I selected all the episodes for the year and made them monitored. Then hit the “search monitored” button on the toolbar. I did this for a lot of shows and it mostly all worked, but had a problem with one particular show.
Sonarr created the show and began sending episodes to Nzbget. Eventually all 10 episodes showed up the folder nzbget is saving them in, and that sonarr is watching. However post processing did not happen, instead I see the following error for all 10 episodes:
Found matching series via grab history, but release was matched to series by ID. Automatic import is not possible. See the FAQ for details.
I looked around in the FAQ but could not find this, maybe I’m blind. I do not understand the meaning of the error message or what I should do to manually correct it.
Can anyone help me figure it out? Sorry if this is easy and obvious, I am new to sonarr, so far quite impressed overall compared to medusa that I was using before. Just need to sort this out right now.
the files are still sitting there, so I think you’re saying, move them manually to the folder that was orginally created for them when I added the show manually. then delete the show (but not the files), then import it. Do I have that right?
why did it fail though?
is there some way to avoid having to “delete” the show and just move the files to the right place, I guess I will have to make sure they are named correctly and organized in season folders…and then some way to tell the show to rescan its folders?
Use the Manual Import function in Sonarr (found in Wanted) which will do all the same things the automated process normally does (move, rename). It’s just manually initiated for cases where the automatic import has failed (like yours).
Per above if they are still showing in Activity you can do it from there.
Otherwise, in Sonarr, click on Wanted in the menu on the left.
Then click on the Manual Import icon on the page that loads on the right
Browse to your Completed Downloads folder and choose Interactive Import
Set the Series, episode etc. details as required, make sure Move Files is selected and then click Import
