Authentication issue between Sonarr and Transmission

Description of issue:

I created a username and password in the Transmission json config file and made authentication required. When using the Transmission webgui, it now asks me for the username/password and it works fine. When I try to add Transmission as a downloader in Sonarr and test the connection, I get an authentication failed error. Any ideas on what I could be missing here?

Only that the wrong username/password was entered or possibly contains a special character that trips up Sonarr.

It’s definitely the correct username/password and no special characters. Perhaps there is a setting in Transmission I’m missing here, but I don’t see anything.

The following works without issue for me. Debug or Trace logs should give you more information on the issue.
