Any reason TPB isn't a Torrent Indexer option?

Howdy,

I’m just wondering if there’s a reason that The PirateBay isn’t an option for Torrent Indexers. I’m not familiar with most of the ones in the list so I’m using Kickass Torrents. It works but some of the files it finds have very few seeders and they download crazy slow. I’ve manually searched for the same torrents on TPB and found them with hundreds of seeders.

Is there any specific reason TPB isn’t an option within Sonarr by default? Is Kickass the best one to use for TV Shows? Should I just add all of them and let Sonarr pick the best one?

if i remember correctly i think that TPB does not have an API

I did find some 3rd party APIs for TPB. Would anything like that be a viable option?

I’m having the same issue… KAT is working but I have found episodes on TPB of a few shows that I couldn’t find on KAT. And the ones on that are on both have more//faster seeds on TPB. I would love an option to add TPB as an indexer.

I’ll be blunt: We won’t support TPB as indexer. TPB does NOT have an API, anything thirdparty lib that resembles an API is in fact a website scraper.
