Sonarr version (exact version): 4.0.14.2939 Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows): Yes (6.0.13) OS: Ubuntu Server Debug logs: To follow if required Description of issue: Another X265 query
Hi,
New user, been using MEDUSA for years but want to to move over the the “arr” products…
I’ve managed the install OK on the proof of concept, I can add content and get it download with Sab and update my Kodi library so on the whole a result.
Fine tuning, time… I prefer HEVC/X265 720 releases because of their small size, I generally watch and delete.
So I am trying to get sonarr to prefer said releases, download a x265 720 release if available, if not drop back to a x264 one…
When I manual search, it looks like the magic is happening, I’m getting results with weight, however if I auto search the x264 release gets downloaded, what have I missed here guys ?
Thanks for link but without some form of context I’m struggling to see how I can apply anything from it unfortunately.
I get the idea of hierarchical quality, and in this world quality is king, I get that, what I’m struggling with is putting the weight to my preferred format.
I must have missed a step somewhere but I’m struggling to see the wood from the trees here I’m afraid…
That was the missing piece, thanks, CF’s are tie tiebreaker if the quality is the same, they do not override and give more weight to a “lower” quality. I get it now…
Currently making a new quality profile using “unknown” quality and then CF’s to build up my preferences…
Edit:
Unknown didn’t work, but reordering as in the guide above pretty much worked as I had in mind, thanks…
