Anime Batch Unrecognized

Sonarr version: 2.0.0.4326
Mono version: 4.04
OS: OS X 10.11.6
Indexer: Nyaa

Type: Anime
Show: Haikyuu!!.
TVDB https://thetvdb.com/?id=278157&tab=series

Description of issue: Sonarr fails to recognize a batch of episodes as a season pack but can identify individual episodes. At first I thought it had to do with special characters “!!” but it does in fact recognize single episodes and is able to download with no issue. The error that I’m getting when trying to manually search is “unknown series”.

Does sonarr have the ability do download batch for anime as it does season packs for tv shows?

If they are named in a relatively sane way, yes. Those names are far from ideal as there isn’t a lot of information in them for Sonarr to accurately parse them as anime. Perhaps we can use (Batch) at the end to improve that.

Hi Markus,

From experience, the most common adopted standard is the (Batch) “tag” at the end of a series - it would help to identify season packs for anime a lot!

It may not capture every case since encoding groups are doing it their own way (i.e. [Batch], (Unofficial Batch), Batch/Pack) but it would help for 90% of season releases.

Thank you,

MGlads

Looks like we didn’t need to worry about Batch, but handle the absolute episode numbers wrapped in brackets, the improvements will be in the next release.
