I am trying to import my extensive anime library into Sonarr - all of the episodes are labeled as such.
Bleach - 001 - The Day I Became a Shinigami SDTV.avi
Bleach - 002 - A Shinigami’s Work SDTV.avi
Bleach - 102 -
Bleach - 365
And so on and so on using absolute numbering as per anidb.
So please please tell me why Episode 102 is translated by sonarr as being Season 1 Episode 2
I have the following convention set in sonarr for anime under settings
{Series Title} - {absolute:000} - {Episode Title} {Quality Full}
What is sonarr struggling with here? what have i done wrong?
Because Sonarr has no reliable way to determine the difference between 102 being S01E02 or absolute 102 given that filename, so it goes with the original implementation, which is treating it like its S01E02.
On RSS feeds its less of an issue because most posters follow a common convention with the release group at the start or end in []
.
Currently Sonarr doesn’t treat parsing from disk any different when it knows the series type (standard/daily/anime), that is something that we’ll be working on in a future release though: https://trello.com/c/32Qmp2Oq/692-advanced-parser
Is there anyway currently to get these episodes in without issue? - i can add a release group on as I know which release group they are by but was removed by filebot when trying to tidy them.
Adding the release group at the beginning should do it, even a fake one.
So this should do it?
[TRP] Bleach - E366 - Changing History, Unchanging Heart HDTV-720p
Not sure if the “E” before “366” will cause issues, but otherwise that looks fine.
Removing the “E” and adding the release group worked perfectly fine - thanks so much @markus101
