All episode search results for "She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (2018)" show up as unknown series

Sonarr version (exact version): 3.0.0.276
Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows): 5.16.0.179
OS: Docker container
Description of issue:
Sonarr is failing to detect the new series “She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (2018)” when searching for episodes. All search results show up as “Unknown Series”. Already attempted a series refresh just in case.
Happy to provide more info if needed.

Edited to clarify this is about episode searches.

Have you tried searching new series by “tvdb:352716” “tvdb:350399” or “She-Ra and the Princesses of Power” ? I do not have any issues finding it.

The issue isn’t finding the series but searching for episodes. That was unclear I’ll edit the initial post.

I tested this and I can confirm Sonarr will not find the episodes not sure why

You need to remove the existing series and add tvdb:350399 (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power without the year).

That did the trick, thank you

odd I did what you said and Sonarr is still not finding most episodes of this series and I Know there available because i can go to a search engine and find them

Wrong indexer categories, wrong series type?

It’s something different, debug logs would help.

I can confirm my issues were resolved when specifically searching tvdb:350399 and adding that series if you didn’t try that.

How do i send the debug log it wont authorize a .txt

here use this link https://www.dropbox.com/s/5xn501s2ty0c38s/sonarr.debug.txt?dl=0

You should upload to something like pastebin so the file can be viewed without having to trust a download.

I just tried pasting the log into pasebin : You have exceeded the maximum paste size of 512 kilobytes per paste and i get that

Dropbox is fine (and one of our suggestions).

Apparently indexers are indexing these releases poorly, in my checks on one indexer they haven’t linked them to the TVDB ID nor have they parsed the season and episode number.

Unfortunately this isn’t something that Sonarr can fix, each indexer would need to investigate and fix.

[As i side note I noticed you said wrong indexer category which is possible but when I search for something I always perform a manual search … hardly ever automatic so it should show everything available from what I understand … not nothing

I’m also having issues getting Sonarr to show hevc posts that I know are there… again done through manual searches

If results are in a different category that you haven’t told Sonarr to request then you won’t get results from that category… HEVC often has it’s own category on the indexer, you need to tell Sonarr to include it.

when you say categories do you mean the quality and profiles tabs because I don’t see anything that even resembles HEVC maybe i’m missing something obvious

No, I mean the categories for the indexer.

ah I see now I got to figure out which category covers hevc

Got it all figured out thanks so much

When you make a back up of Sonarr for safe keeping does it back up everything including category settings?
