Description of issue:
Hi I just was doing some troubleshooting, and I noticed in “download client”, in my case sabnzbd, if I click test, it fails. Also on the contact page, items like Plex home theater and Plex server failed the test.

I’m not sure that this is critical, but I am wondering why it fails? This is what I have entered as example:

Name sabnzbd

Enable yes

Host localhost

Port (it’s correct)

API Key (it’s correct)

Username (it’s correct)

Password (it’s correct)

Category blank

Use SSL No

I’ve tired local ip and 0.0.0.0 and toggling ssl but still fails test. Any ideas. And if anything else looks bad let me know!

Happy holidays guys!!

I can highly recommend to use this. Otherwise sonarr will try (and fail) to import all downloads from sab, e.g. if you also use radarr for movies, or download other non-tv stuff via sab.

Oh I never have in all these years. How do I use it?

in the sab gui under config > categories

find the line that has an Add button on the end

on that line set the first field to sonarr (feel free to call it anything you like)
change the priority if you want sonarr jobs to be higher/lower in the queue, otherwise just leave it at default
change the processing drop down to Download (sab will just download, sonarr will do the move and rename)
set the folder/path to sonarr (this should put it in a folder named sonarr under your default download folder)
click on Add

edit the sab config in sonarr and add sonarr (or whatever you put in the first field) to the category field and save
