A Remux Quality

I thought I read somewhere that a Remux quality setting is being added, is that true? If so, any ETA when that will be out on the develop or master branch?

To explain a good use case for this quality setting:
Currently, if Sonarr grabs a blu ray 1080p file that is 1GB and adds it to your library, then two days later a blu ray 1080p remux comes out that is 7GB, Sonarr won’t grab it because of course your existing file meets the 1080p blu ray cuttoff. My ultimate goal is for everything in my library to be a lossless rip of the highest quality source we have access to, which is blu ray. Of course this can’t always be found, in which case something lossy like a re-encode should be downloaded. With the cutoff set to Remux, Sonarr can keep searching for that sweet sweet lossless rip even if it already has a compressed blu ray file.

EDIT: I do understand a remux may not technically be lossless, but it’s ideally as close to lossless as you can get.

a remux will be always untouched video and audio
(mostly they strip out the menu’s, extra audio tracks and subs)

as soon as they temper with the video or audio it isn’t a remux but a encode.
