Windows 10 Upgrade - Missing root folder/Path does not exist

After upgrading to Windows 10 during the week Sonarr is unable to connect to my NAS.
I am using an Intel NUC for the server and a Synology NAS with SMB 3 enabled and connecting Sonarr via UNC path.

I am getting the error of Missing root folder, I added a new show and removed the old UNC path \\192.168.1.101\videos\TV and then tried readding it and other paths on the NAS but keep getting Path does not exist.

The only thing in the environment that has changed is the upgrade to Windows 10, and windows 10 can connect to the same UNC path without any issues.

Anyone got any ideas for me?

Thanks

check your network location in windows 10 it may be set to Public instead of Home/Work

Thanks mate,
It was set to public, I changed it back and rebooted the system, double checked it was now private. Sonarr is still having the issue.

I came across the fix in the FAQ/Wiki about not running as a service and running just sonarr.exe, doing that works for some reason. Maybe its a bug within a Windows 10/Sonarr.

I would much rather it run as a service.

Had this issue myself, was able to keep it working as a service by setting the user account it runs under to a specific user - one that had logged in and accessed the NAS

I’ll give that a go, but my NAS doesn’t require any authentication so it shouldn’t matter.

MS disabled guest auth to shares in Windows 10:
