Because it doesn’t know what it is. AVS could be anything as it doesn’t follow a typical formatting for the release group would would be -AVS or [AVS] at the beginning or end of the filename for anime.
Ahh. That makes sense. Is there any way around it? 
Rename the files outside of Sonarr to a format it understands then rescan or update them in the database directly would really be the only ways.
It wants to do this to my entire 754GB of TV shows. That’s a frig ton of manual renaming lol. 
Filebot might be able to help.
