Just lately I have been getting a few shows downloading with x265 in the file-name. For example, just today GOT was downloaded with ‘x265’ in the filename (469MB). I’m using a HD-1080P profile and have set minimum sizes for 30/60 min shows under ‘Quality Definitions’ which are definitely way above the 469MB version downloaded - Why did it not follow these rules? I thought that only ‘x264 1080P’ shows were downloaded using the HD-1080P profile which also abide by the rules set in ‘Quality Definitions’ ?
No, x264 or x265 are both grabbed, if you want to block x265 setup a release restriction.
Without ((debug logs)) from when it was grabbed, we couldn’t tell you what Sonarr saw to determine it fit into the size requirements.
Thankyou for the reply.
I checked the quality definitions for my 1080P profile and noticed I have not set minimum values, just maximum values, this is my issue. Most (all) x265 HEVC are much lower in size than x264 so they must have been released first and then downloaded first before the x264 release.
Just to note, ive noticed that the quality of most (all) x265 HEVC that i’ve downloaded from uTorrent have not been as good as the same x264 version - just lower in file size.
