What's the best way to handle 'throwaway' shows?

I watch a lot of shows that I simply view once and then delete, rather than storing them in my media library forever (such as daily chat shows and news programmes).

Is there an easy way to denote these as ‘throwaway’ shows so Sonarr doesn’t try to sort them into folders or add their metadata to other apps like Kodi etc?

No, this might be of some interest though: https://github.com/Sonarr/Sonarr/issues/314

Thanks! Sounds like a great suggestion, however I think these methods would leave it too much to chance for my liking. For starters, I’d have to watch all ‘throwaway’ media in a player that supports Trakt or similar, when in reality I view media in a multitude of different applications. I could browse to Trakt and mark each show as ‘watched’ but ain’t nobody got time fo dat, as they say…

I think I’d much rather just delete watched episodes myself, but in order for this to work seamlessly, they’d need to all download into the root without pesky ‘sorted into series’ subfolders, as per my other forum post… Good suggestion though!

You could also use the Sonarr UI to delete them, click the item in the calendar and then delete the corresponding episode file.
