What causes downloaded episodes to some times be abandoned and not moved after downloading?

Sonarr v2.0.0.5085
Mono 5.4.1.6
Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon
NZBGet 19.1

I’ve noticed this problem when I was using Windows 7 so I don’t think it’s an OS specific issue but a few days ago, I added Star Trek TOS/TNG and MASH to Sonarr and told it to grab everything.

When it was all said and done, there were huge chunks of both shows left in the /TV Shows/ folder with their Usenet names…“star.trek.s01.e3.blah.bluray.blah”. I’d say that 60-70% of the shows were properly renamed/moved but lots of episodes were left. Restarting Sonarr didn’t see to have any effect. I eventually got everything renamed and imported using 3rd party software but why does Sonarr ‘fall off the rails’ like that from time to time? Grabbing an episode or two of shows is never a problem. I only see this breakdown when I’m doing a bulk download of multiple seasons of a show. It’s like Sonarr gets overloaded and goes bonkers and just gives up.

My CPU is an i7 7700K, 16 gigs of DDR4 ram, SSD drive and mdadm raid 6 array.

It can happen if the download is removed from the download client before Sonarr imports it, but it’s impossible to say why it happened in that particular case.

With NZBGet Sonarr doesn’t limit the number of history items it fetches, but in SABnzbd it does, if you switched from SAB to NZBGet that could explain it.

Anything Sonarr is tracking for import will appear in Activity: Queue.

You can use Manual Import on Wanted: Missing to import files.
