[v2.0.0.4949] System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path is denied

Description of issue:

Hello!

I’ve been reading a lot on this forum regarding this issue, but I just can’t get it to work. First of all, I’ll explain how everything is set up.

I have a PC that is running Sonarr and a NAS that is running Transmission.
On the PC, I have 3 mapped network drives:

  • E:/ -> The folder where my series are stored and also the folder Plex is watching.
  • F:/ -> The folder where Transmission downloads to, it consists out of a complete, incomplete and a watch folder.

Because of the fact that Transmission is running on a different device as Sonarr, I created a remote path mapping.
Host: IP of the NAS
Remote path: The remote path of the mapped F:/ drive
Local path: F:/complete

Since I mapped the network drives in Windows, I’m able to browse these directories through explorer. I’ve signed in on them using an account and Windows saves these credentials.

I’ve turned on debug logging and the logging says the following:
[v2.0.0.4949] System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path is denied.

I don’t understand why the access is denied.

I’ve read that markus101 is a Sonarr guru, I hope he or someone else can help me figure out my issue.
Thanks in advance.

Typically I’d question whether it could be mapped network drive + Sonarr running as a service as you’re going to have a bad time.

But this looks permissions related (Sonarr can’t access the source or destination path) since Sonarr has gotten as far as trying to move the file, which also tells me the file has finished seeding, you’re using Drone Factory or Torrent Blackhole and Read-only is disabled.

I managed to get it to work! Played with the settings a bit and deleted/recreated some users, seems to work properly now! Thank you anyway
