uTorrent Seeding and Linking

Hi,

I’m trying to migrate over from sickbeard to sonarr and i’m finding it difficult to setup linkings to my torrents. I’m using uTorrent 2.2.1 and configured Blackhole and enabled Hard-Linking.

What i’m trying to achieve is after i downloaded the torrent, for it to hard-link + rename and transfer the file to the TV series folder while continuing to seed the original downloaded file. This means that it wont take up double the space as its linked.

Everytime i finish downloading the file it will auto rename the file and move it to the TV series folder thus removing the original downloaded file from uTorrent so i can’t seed it anymore.

If this possible for Sonarr and if so can someone tell me how to set it up.

Blackhole doesn’t do hardlinking.

Only thing you can do is setup a post-processing script in uTorrent that hardlinks the download to the blackhole watch folder.
But on windows that might not actually work, tnx for aggressive file locks preventing hardlinks from being moved.
If that’s the case, then I can’t help you. The built-in uTorrent api client doesn’t support 2.2, which you probably already found out. (The reason 2.2 isn’t supported is because in that version the api doesn’t provide all the information we require, fyi)

You could, of course switch to another download client, Deluge or Transmission. :stuck_out_tongue:
