I was trying to install the latest version Nzbdrone on my freenas NAS. I am using 9.2.1.3 of Freenas.
When I try to start this latest version I get: /usr/local/bin/mono: Undefined symbol “locale_charset”
My mono version is 3.2.8

That looks like a mono error, unrelated to the update. Its not coming from drone, but looks to come before mono even fully loads.
Well I uninstalled mono and installed version 3.4 and it seems to have solved this issue. Thanks for the comment markus
Is there a way to tell nzbdrone to use a config directory? Like “mono Nzbdrone.exe -config path”? I noticed it uses the usernames parent directory and creates a .config folder
Not currently. It’s on Trello though: https://trello.com/c/zSThQAv6/456-portable-mode-change-appdata-location
