First the title may be odd but not sure else what to call it
Basically i have a friend who is getting me to build them a Home server and they will be still getting me to grab all the shows for them as they have slow internet and we pretty much watch the same shows anyways
Currently what he does is he comes over with an external HDD and i copy the shows on there he then takes it home and plugs it into his xbmc machine and watches them directly off that
He wants to have a server so he can store all his shows in the one place and have a mysql setup to keep track of watched statuses between machines
So when he gets this done i was thinking of setting up ND to act as a file sorter and rename so he can dump all the shows he gets off me into one folder and ND will handle so he doesnt have to manually copy and paste into each folder
I was thinking to achieve this is to disable indexers and leave sabnzbd settings blank and simply not install sabnzbd so the only function it will do is scan in the shows and keep track of the episodes
Basically just not use the NZB Grab and send to Sab Function there will be an internet connection so he can still grab metadata and artwork
Would this work ok
i will let him know that is an option told him about ND and he was impressed (as am I that is why i use it) at how it automates the moving, renaming and sorting and even the notification and pushing of updates to the xbmc machine this could also help him scan them into his collection
