Upgrade tagged as virus by Norton

My Norton Antivirus is triggering on the latest update. Luckily I have a backup of the folder. When I restore the folder and start the service it downloads the latest update, which again triggers the antivirus. This is apparently based on heuristics and not a signature match.

Interestingly I manually downloaded the latest version and installed, Norton does not seem to be concerned by it as yet. Hopefully this is just a glitch on my machine, but if others report it might want to check the update package and ensure it hasn’t been compromised.

It hasn’t been compromised, it’s a false positive.

Figured, thanks!
