Update possibly causes ProgramData\NzbDrone to be missing?

Hi all,
Just posting this as it was really strange in case there is more to it. I’ve had Sonarr installed for over 2 weeks on Win10.
I noticed today it wasn’t running only to find that the ProgramData\NzbDrone directory missing. Fortunately, I had a backup from a few days ago so no big deal. Can’t provide much more info since the logs, backups etc are stored there. However, when I got it back up, I noticed under updates it said it installed 2.0.0.4711 - Apr 24 2017. And a corresponding service start failure at the same timestamp of the newly updated files. There have been 3 other updates since the original install with no problems.
Again just passing this along, maybe something wacky on my end at that time …
Thanks

The entire folder was missing?
We’ve seen issues where the executables are removed by anti-virus software, but the whole folder disappearing sounds like something else, but also not something Sonarr would do on it’s own.

Yup, I know I couldn’t image Sonarr could ever do something like that, it was just the coincidence of it all is why i posted. Either way I posted just in case.

OK it happened again! Same problem, it’s now updated to 2.0.0.4712 - Apr 25 2017. Appdata directory was toast again.
More info, The only thing I can think of but also stress that 3 other updates worked, is that I’m using a link from the Appdata directory to somewhere else. This is the link from C:\ProgramData> :
'JUNCTION NzbDrone [C:\capps\NzbDrone\data]'
is that the problem? It makes no sense but maybe …
Anyone?
Thanks

I just changed the junction to a symlink with mklink /D “C:\ProgramData\NzbDrone” "C:\capps\NzbDrone\data"
So I guess we’ll see what happens next, unless someone knows …

Just an update to all, updates were indeed hammering my redirected programdata folder in the NzbDrone app folder. It apparently does a complete backup into the c:\users folder then wipes out everything and installs/restores only what is needed. I changed the redirection to a folder not in the Nzbdrone app directory and all is good.
