Unable to Import Existing Series On Disk

Hi all, I’ve just started using Sonarr with SABnzb and Plex on my new Synology DS215j NAS. I’ve gotten everything integrated so far, except for Sonarr, which is the last piece of the puzzle. I can’t import anything, it says the path for my shows doesn’t exist.

My files are in /volume1/media/tv/ but when I go to import and then browse /volume1/media is empty. I’ve tried typing the path manually and nothing has changed. The permissions for the folders are R/W for all users.

This is my first time using Sonarr, so there are no files that have been imported before now.

Also, I’m using the latest version on Sonarr.

I believe the issue lies with permissions related to Sonarr’s user account and how its not a Synology managed user, but a separate one.

None of the users created by the package manager are editable in DSM, or at least not to my knowledge. I personally always made sure that the PVR (Sickbeard, Drone) user has rights to my downloads share and that it actually owns the series folder on my video share. Recursively hown/chgrp the thing to the users group and the nzbdrone user. Possibly also chmod it all to 644 or 664 depending on your needs.
