Anyone who uses any of the indexers that use torcache will have this problem, which is a lot of them.
Some of the private indexers (require user account) don’t use torcache and thus they work fine currently.
I have a friend that is having no problems downloading using kickasstorrent (that uses torcache, I think) on Sonarr/Windows/uTorrent. KAT is his only indexer.
Hmm, in that situation, I’m guessing it just loads a magnet directly into uTorrent which should work fine. The issue comes when it has to download a .torrent file which comes from torcache.
You are right. I have installed Transmission in my Synology box and now I can download. I was using the Synology downloader as blackhole (I still prefer it).
Thanks!
Can confirm that Transmission is working. I guess I’ll use it for now until Blackhole handling is fixed.
I switched to deluge from blackhole and kat is now working.
I’ve been playing with CouchPotato & saw the issue there & not on Sonarr, the only thing different about my setups was Sonarr to Transmission [Fine], CP to Blackhole.
Can confirm adding the deferrer to https://torcache.net/’ fixed my issue, making it an issue/change with torcache rather than Sonarr.
Any update yet?
today my Sonarr has downloaded automatically from kickasstorrents, this may imply torcache has changed something.
Probably you got a new version from sonarr with this:
It’s a bit more code than I originally intended, but this is the cleaner approach. (Torcache didn’t (yet) respond to our email)
As you can see, we don’t like hacks or spoofing stuff.
is it possible to have a new version without anything showing on the Updates page within sonarr?
Mine and a few others I know, started working the other day, without our boxes being updated. I checked each to make sure since I saw that code change go through. Our boxes each show as: 2.0.0.3357 on the master branch, which shows as a Jul 20th update.
Also, I can’t test it again now obviously, but back when I suggested the referrer change, I wasn’t using any query params and it made no difference. I have a feeling torcache made changes to their back end around the same time those query param changes were made which allowed it to work.
Either way, glad to see it is working again.
That’s fairly interesting, coz when I test it, if I get the torrent directly without query params, I don’t get a redirect.
Maybe torcache behaves differently, based on caching and/or ip… or something else entirely.
But that means I’m no longer confident the problem is actually fixed.
I don’t get a redirect now either. I got one back when I mentioned the referrer change. Meaning most likely they changed something for that to work.
The updates to Sonarr over the past few days have seem to fix my problems.
So since Trouble Auto Downloading w/ KAT has been locked and redirected here, I guess we’ll just hijack this thread for the fact that automatic downloaded from KAT is still not working.
It’s still reporting 0 seeds/leeches for the first 10 hours or so after upload, so the RSS feed sees them as not having enough seeds to auto download, until it ends up not being “new” in the feed anymore.
This behavior is also able to be seen just looking at the webpage for KAT.
I realize you don’t have control over what the external indexing site is providing, but maybe an option could be included to ignore seed minimums on RSS feed searches, that we could opt into?
That’s because those changes haven’t been released to develop yet.
