Unable to connect to indexers, cant grab new Episodes, add new indexers and update episodes

Hi,
I have the problem that sonarr can connect to any indexer that i have KickassTorrents, Nyaa, Althub and Wombles.

i have de and re-installed sonarr, try to run it without my firewall and nothing happends.
its not a DNS issue because evry thing was working fine like 3 a 4 days ago and nothing has changes on my system.

you have a system proxy configured or malware.

No proxy and no malware according to MalwareBytes Anti-Malware

Try another malware removal tool and try connecting to the sites in Internet Explorer. We’re 100% confident that this is malware related as we have seen it dozens of times now.

ok i have done 3 malware tools and no malware.

i can open the sites in IE, Firefox and chrome

Are you getting the same error?
Try searching the registry (regedit) for 127.0.0.1:60470.

Still the same error.

found it in the register

Set ProxyEnable to 0.

i did… and no affect.
And even if i change it, it will go back to 1 if i reboot my PC

Something is actively reenabling the proxy, so the malware is still there.

ok, Set it to 0… and it stayed on 0 after restart

But still the same error

i’m having the same problem - nothing works as far as indexers or proxies go and i certainly don’t have any malware of viruses or anything.

http://torrentapi.org doesn’t even work for rarbg

if it helps, this is one of the error logs i’ve been getting

System.Net.WebException: Error: NameResolutionFailure

I’ve also got a synology nas drive as well.

edit

it doesn’t seem to want to update local content on my nas either - i’ve manually downloaded and added an episode of a show i watch. i’ve named it with the correct format and added it to my folder.

kodi scans the library correctly and picks it up, bit if i manually update sonarr to refresh the series information, it doesn’t seem to want to find it - not sure if this is related

(although manually importing this does seem to do the trick)

@clemfandango Euh, no, not the same. try these threads: https://forums.sonarr.tv/search?q=NameResolutionFailure

@Ernixor Same error means the proxy is still enabled somehow. You restarted twice?

i’m still not really sure what i’m supposed to do. i do have a new router as i’ve changed ISP’s in the last week and it has a page on the advanced configuration page where i can change the DNS settings to use the Google DNS but that doesn’t seem to do anything.

I’ve got an account at NoIP that I’ve used with my old router to have a “proper” URL but even if i access my NAS drive directly via the IP address, i can’t get Sonarr to do anything.

I guess i was just assuming that i could plug the new router in and do some very basic configuration (as is my knowledge level) and get it to start seeing the new router and the open ports.

My point was that you’re hijacking a thread with an unrelated problem. Please open your own thread if the existing ones don’t give you an answer. (Although the existing ones should cover all scenarios related specifically to Sonarr)

I have restarted Like 8 times now. and it stayed on 0.
But the problem remain.

with the greatest of respect, i think it’s slightly unfair to accuse me of “hijacking” this thread because, on the face of it, my problem was identical to that of the thread title.

Anyway, i think it might be a wider issue overall because i’ve noticed that since i’ve got my new router and i have been re-adding my NFS shares to Kodi, it’s not picking up all of my content for some reason so it might be a router issue rather than anything else so i’ll leave things alone for now.

Yesterday evening i have got sonarr working again.
i have stoped 2 services: IP Helper and WinHTTP Web Proxy Auto-Discover Service.
When i did that it was working. so i disabled the services so it wont start again. and i rebooted the pc.

after de restart got the same problem again, the services was still disabled. i have re-anabled the services and another restart.
but still the same problem remains

it has no effect if i disable the services again i have tryed that.

Your latest changes indicate to me that there is still something on your system causing issues and there isn’t anything else we can do at this time to help. Ultimately my recommendation when malware is involved is to start from scratch and re-install the system, not always possible, but its the most reliable way to get ride of it. Others that have had this issue previously were able to use other malware removal tools to eradicate this issue, I’m not sure what they used, but it was mentioned in another thread.
