Randomly started happening about a week ago, was working fine until that. Anyone know what can be done to fix this error?

Their API is under heavy load and often returns error pages instead of an RSS feed.
You will continue to experience issues until they work out those API issues.

I realized my Sonarr instance was not getting RSS results at all. Having a very new error message:
An error occurred while processing feed. https://api.dognzb.cr/api?t=tvsearch&cat=5070&extended=1&apikey=<removed>&offset=0&limit=100: Document element did not appear. Line 1, position 1.
Checking the DogNZB website it appears their API is working but changed to following url:
https://dognzb.cr/rss.cfm?r=<apikey>&t=5070&num=100
Just to be sure: I know there were errors with the API. This issue is not related with any on these errors.

They changed to the api subdomain months ago, they did not switch back, if you go to the second URL you posted it takes you to their site, not the API.
That error you get is because their API can’t handle the load.
Like I stated in my posting, I confirmed the API is working before posting.
The error passed on by C# does not state the website is refusing connection but states that a connection was established but an element was returned that could not be parsed, e. g. a wrong node name.
In this case an empty document.
This kind of error also appeared suddenly like 9 hours ago and lasts until.
Before this error I also got an odd number of elements in the RSS reply.
