Unable to add new shows

Sonarr version 2.0.0.5053:

**Windows 10 **:

Recently i have been unable to add new shows.

Even if the show is current and popular, all i get is a grey thumbnail and no shows . When i go to each season within that show it says ‘no aired episodes’

When i do the initial search it finds the show and the artwork. it is only when i add it that i get nothing.
All of my existing shows are updating and downloading correctly.

i have my debug logs saved but unsure how to post them here.

edit

have tried adding link to logs here, hope it works

Looks like the series was added properly.

I don’t see any other issues in the logs besides the missing posters. Have you tried refreshing the series data?
When is the last time the Refresh Series task ran (on System: Tasks)?

series refresh was 12 hours ago apparently (?!)

I do know that when i try to refresh series on that particular show that it just seems to spin forever (i’ve left it for hours and it keeps spinning).

That’s definitely not normal, if you restart Sonarr does the same issue occur?

What do the logs show when you refresh the series?

Restarting Sonarr doesn’t seem to change anything.

I’ve even tried using a different connection (my mobile rather than my broadband) and it still just sits there spinning when i refresh a series.

not sure if this is ok but here is a log from when i click update series.

Thanks.

Nothing else in the logs from around that time?
Are other tasks on System: Tasks executing?

I’d expect after the command log line: 17-11-12 13:50:55.8|Debug|Api|[POST] /api/command: 201.Created (146 ms) it’d start to refresh the series, but that didn’t happen.

I’ve tried again

(re added series after a few days not touching it)

This is all I get

https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vSlXtQGkGPzOwAhdL-4rXWmSud-2McYrQlNnEsONUs3S-bPLcOSTmcr5dsctuaDqHxb1W1u-eqZi1T4/pub

What about the tasks in System: Tasks?

Ah sorry

System: Tasks shows last series refresh one month ago!

In fact, it doesnt show anything running for at least 20 days and has them all set to run ‘now’

edit - i have run series refresh and Rss sync - i will update when they have finished spinning

edit 2 - still spinning after 9 hours. ive attached logs again.

logs 3

It definitely won’t take that long legitimately. If you restart Sonarr do the tasks run? I’d be interested in seeing the logs from startup and a few minutes after at least to see how things are working, seems like the task runner has died in some mysterious way.

markus i see you know these things really well. could you be able to help me if i am going to have some questions as well? please? i’m also unable to add new shows so i was wondering maybe you could help?

Please open a new thread with the requested information.

ok, so ive pressed restart and it says restart requested. Should i be looking for anything else on my logs other than that?
I see activity on my debug log at the time i requested. Should i send that?

How about stopping Sonarr outside of Sonarr? Either via the services manager (if it’s running as a service), the tray icon or task manager?

logs 4

i’ve stopped and restarted the nzb.drone in dervices manager and sonarr came up with the message that it had lost connection to the backend (!!)

when it restarted it didnt automatically runa ny tasks. I clicked on refresh series and have had no luck so far.

how easy is it to completely remove sonarr adnd start from scratch? i had a go before i posted on here and couldnt seem to get rid of it.

Yeah, nothing happening there, not sure what’s going on.

You can uninstall it then remove the configuration (Settings, shows, etc) from C:\ProgramData\NzbDrone.

looks like a total uninstall and reinstall has fixed i t. it now finds new shows and is downloading them.

Was a bugger to remember all my settings but got there in the end.
The only thing i cant work out how to do is how to stop it downloading episodes i already have. Is there a way to direct it to the folder where all my shows are kept so it searches those and sees that i already have them ( im certain there is but i am too dumb to work it out… sorry)

When you add a series you have the option to chose which episodes you want to monitor. You can also do that via Season Pass. If Sonarr already sees the file and the cutoff is already met then it won’t re-download anything for that episode.
