Version - 2.0.0.5129
Mono Version - 4.6.2
Ubuntu 17.10 Server

Description of issue:

Sounds similar to what others report.

Sonarr goes slowly unresponsive over about a 30 min period to the point where it will no longer load, but the page never errors out.

The capper is that I can issue all sorts of commands and ways to try to kill the app, but it will not.

It’s to the point where my Ubuntu will not even be able to complete a reboot. I have to hard-boot the whole box. Now this is the 2nd box that I’ve installed Sonarr on, since the previous ubuntu install on a whole different box was having the same issue, so it’s not a hardware issue, as such.

killall NzbDrone.exe does nothing
kill -9 NzbDrone.exe does nothing
kill -9 and the PID does nothing.
shutdown now will not complete
reboot now will not complete

It is only Sonarr that has this issue. NZBGet, CouchPotato, Headphones, Webmin, qBittorrent… They all run fine, will stop/start without issue and never seem to crash. Jackett, which also runs with mono also works fine.

Sonarr is the problem child. I started with v19, then v20, but they both seem to have this issue.

Please review my logs.

Trace logs would be more useful in this case as there will be much more detail than debug.

Have you tried upgrading mono? 4.6.2 is quite old at this point and lots have things have been fixed since it was released.

I have not personally seen Sonarr ever stop responding in such a way under mono 5.4 or under .net on Windows.

Okay, I have pulled the latest beta build, to give that a try and see what it can do:

Mono JIT compiler version 5.8.0.108 (tarball Fri Jan 19 18:15:21 UTC 2018)

If I still see the same behavior, I will pull the new logs and update this thread.
