Two questions Searching etc

Hi everyone. I recently moved from Sickrage to Sonarr and am very impressed with Sonarr, it is really well designed and functional.

There is one thing driving me crazy and I’ve search my best to find a solution for a while before asking for help. So here is are my questions.

  1. Is there a setting in Sonarr to tell it to search by date instead of season/episode? I’m finding that a lot of daily shows are being uploaded with a name-air date format instead of S0*E0 and they are not getting downloaded forcing me to bittorrent programs. Shows like The Daily Show and The Stephen Colbert show.

  2. Is there is list of which indexers are free? I’m using nzbgeek vig and think I should have another couple of indexers.

Thanks in advance and please make me feel stupid by pointing out the obvious think that I have missed…

You need to set the series type to Daily and Sonarr will search by dates.

We recommend at least two paid/VIP indexers. Free ones don’t have the API limits needed to be useful beyond a few searches. https://www.reddit.com/r/usenet/ has some recommendations I’m sure.

Thanks Marcus.

The shows were/are set to daily. I haven’t had Sonarr catch either since migrating, is there anything else I can try?

Make sure the series and episodes (that you want) are monitored, try a manual search to see if they are rejected for another reason and finally check ((debug logs)) for any rejections from an RSS Sync where they were seen needs to be RSS from around the time they were released, a ((Debug log)) of the search won’t help.
