I can’t seem to be able to figure out how to edit profiles. When I try and add, for instance, I have no idea how to de-select a choice in the list. I have right clicked, left click, middle clicked, selected the name, did all the clicks on the three lines (those only move selection as far as I can tell).
I am not sure what you are saying. I have seen, for instance, where some have been grayed out in examples online. In front of each selection there is a black dot which I assumed was a sign that, if black, it was active. I have noticed that when I goto the profile page there is a little progress wheel that appears and is animated - have no idea what that means. Given that I have been clicking away on all this stuff, and nothing seemed to have changed. If the clicks are working how do I tell if nothing changes? Then there is the click itself - right? left? middle?
I also wonder. Say I want to ‘adjust’ one of these by setting the cutoff and then moving those I don’t want to be after the cutoff entry. Would that mean that all choices, irregardless of what they do, if after the cutoff are ignored?
I just changed all my series’ profiles to see what would happen. I think it decided that, with the change, to make all existing show conform. This could be, er, interesting.
I wonder, is there a file with this stuff in it that I could edit? If so that might be easier?
Can you post a screenshot of what you mean? I’m not following. Are you talking about reordering them or simply enabling/disabling them? Reordering requires advanced settings to be shown, enabling/disabling works regardless.
It’s definitely left click. Left click is for “clicking” on things, right for context menu, middle for open in new window/scrolling.
I have read thee thing on profiles so many times I may have it memorized. It does not address what we are talking about. I did energize advanced. I think that its saying that the order in which the choices are is absolute, insofar as the order of things. I suspect that the cutoff also means that the program stops at the cutoff and anything after that is ignored. Incidentally, the documentation you suggested was the one where I saw choices grayed out after the cutoff. While my cutoff has about 5 choices after it they are not currently grayed out (probably needs a restart). Tried a restart - it stopped the program but didn’t reload. Then I check the status again and found that it really didn’t start with the restart just did something else which stopped the browser display. Then I closed it manually with systemctl stop sonarr.service, made sure it was stopped, then started it up and made sure it was running and I was back in business. Now there are checks to remove/restore (before there were just black dots). Incidentally, the grayed out, and not checked, were those that I move after the cutoff so my thought on that one worked!
Here is my profile (I think - it said it was uploading):
Its also not trying to replace everything with the new profile. It is, however, replacing one that is already there, but no others so that is a different problem and its ok with me
I also just noticed that my headers seem to be doubled up in the browser. Have no idea why or how but I took care of it.
the cutoff does just how its named. Wherever you put it all choices below get disabled. When it does that, however, they remain in the list just as they were. Then you have to go get the ones that you don’t want and move them, again, below the cutoff and, then, they will stay there. Given that they are disabled, however, that needn’t be done. I disabled, in that profile, for instance, all the very low choices along with the big ones as 2160p (I fixed the one I missed), raw video and also unknown. It seems to be working.
I should also tell you that any editing, now, the choices have a real box to check and uncheck (that was my problem and it went away when I restarted - again, mysteries abound. I have been messing with computers for over 50 years so I don’t get real excited about this stuff. I should have sent you a picture of my original page but my assumption was it was the same as everybody else - I was wrong (not unusual). I just need to know what I need to work around and I am a happy camper.
When I think back to the origin of this one I get a bit of humor as you had absolutely no idea what was going on and my assumption that my problem was on everybody’s screen was dead wrong. You tried to tell me to send you a picture of it, but I saw no reason to as you had the same problem and that made no sense. What really made no sense was my clever assumption. I will try and be more clear from now on and I apologize.
