Trouble adding Nzbsooti indexer to Nzbdrone

I get an error message when trying to add the Newznab indexer Nzbsooti.sx.

I get an error message on the add indexer dialog "Invalid Newznab URL entered’. The message appears after a minute or two while trying to add the indexer and failing. The url is correct.

Logs:

“Indexer doesn’t appear to be Newznab based”

“Invalid request Validation failed:
– Invalid Newznab URL entered”

“Failed to get response from: https://www.nzbsooti.sx/api?t=tvsearch&cat=5030,5040&extended=1&apikey=XXX The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send.”

The indexer is Newznab and I have no issue using it with Sickbeard.

I contacted the Admin of the indexer and he said he would look into it. I verified that I’m using the correct url with the Admin.

Any ideas?

Install .net 4.5, more details here: http://forums.nzbdrone.com/discussion/comment/2448

Thanks. That fixed the issue.

FYI, I upgraded to .NET 4.5 and it did not fix my issue. Exact same problem, didn’t resolve the issue.

Either they changed something on their end or its not the exact same issue.

Please clear your log files and then post them after trying to add it.

i had a similar issue a couple weeks ago but with a different indexer i simply restarted NzbDrone but i also waited a while and tried again so i cannot say which method worked but i eventually got it to work

FWIW, Sooti is no longer NewzNab… it’s that newer, forked codebase… I forget the name of it… nZed maybe?

Pretty sure they’re API compliant with newznab, so it should be fine.
