Hi, I started using Sonarr yesterday and it’s fantastic, thanks for your great work. I have torrents set up with Deluge and it’s working very well.
One thing though, when Sonarr imports episodes after download, it copies them to the series folder. I’ve then got two copies, one that is seeding in Deluge and the other one in Sonarr. It would be great if Sonarr could tell Deluge to move the file, so I have one file which is both in Sonarr and Deluge.
Is that something that is currently possible, or on the roadmap? Or have I set up something wrong?
Thanks
You can optionally turn on using hard links instead of copying, which will only consume disk space for one file and they will be links to the file.
The files need to be on the same hard drive in that case though.
We can’t ask the download client to move it because it wouldnt be renamed duringvtge move and would only work for people that don’t want files renamed.
That is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
I understand this is an old post, but would it be possible to implement file moving in Deluge? Deluge supports file-renaming as well, so it should theoretically be possible. At the least, would it be possible to implement without renaming support?
Not really sure what you’re asking here…
Like most other torrent clients, Deluge has the option to move files after they’ve been downloaded (or before downloading). I’m asking if Sonarr could interface with Deluge to download directly to the series directory instead of downloading it to Deluge’s default and then copying it, leaving two copies on the disk.
If its the same hard drive, use hard links, only one copy will physically exist on disk, with pointers in each location.
As for supporting that, no plans to do so.
Ah, I see. Hard links solve the issue. Thanks for the support and the wonderful application!
