Timing on RSS Sync

Since some UseNet providers have a limited number of API requests per day. It would be good to target searches at a particular time of the day & not bother the remainder.

For instance, in my timezone, anything worth grabbing tends to occur between 6am and noon. The remaining 18 hours of the day the API calls are going to waste. The worst case for me is that sometimes all are utilised such that I won’t get one working until 8am the next day. 2 hours later than I’d want it.

Sonarr doesn’t search it uses RSS feeds to find releases, but just because episodes air between certain hours it doesn’t mean they will be released in similar hours, releases can be spread out over the whole day depending on the quality.

We have no plans to allow limiting RSS Syncing during certain hours only to stay within the limits of free indexers.

I can workaround this with cronning when Sonarr is up, but wanted to avoid this.
I didn’t mention ‘free’ indexers, even some of the paid ones have API calls daily caps. #JustSayin

Almost every indexer has limits, but they are far greater than the 96 API calls Sonarr relies on to do an RSS check every 15 minutes. If your paid indexer has a low API limit and you still want to use it you could use it for searching or RSS only.
