This is A Post i thought i would create so we can let markus101 know what things we liked from the old forum so he can either add to this one or if a new one is in the process of being built what should be added

I always like the Members List and Buddy List
it was a good idea to keep names of members you have had conversations with or may need to contact in the future also some sort of Ranking of Members joined it would be interested to see what members joined and in what order

There look to be a number of plugins them when I search for members, so I’ll check them out and pick a decent one.

Awesome that is good with the member lists clear and easy to read looks like i am 14th Man i am late to the party i was 4th on the old forum 
as for buddy lists whenever you find a solution is cool i just remember liking it as i had some people i had chatted to and helped out on my buddy lists so i could contact them later on if needed i am terrible at remembering names sometimes so it helped but not a big issues
Can we add a Private PM message feature so we can use to talk to specific members and also give invite codes and things to people without everyone else seeing them
as seen with markus101 asking people to Pm him for access to the pre-release testers group no one really knew where the Pm button ones so everyone is posting to his wall which everyone can read (which is fine because it is nothing really private being asked) however still a Private PM button would be nice
Also another request to save on creating new posts
Can you implement some sort of built in Image Posting site or service so people who need to post images can use an upload button to post their screenshots or whatever on the site i used to use imgur.com which was fine on the old site but you use to have to open new tabs upload the image then grab the link and then go back to forum and post in
this was not very difficult or hard but a quicker integrated way might be nice perhaps something like embedded document support for posting logs as well would be good although with this not sure on bandwidth or storage limits of this site

that is an option however having to keep a browser running or piece of software running is not always an option plus it doesn’t really help with remembering the usernames
You can flame me for this, but we should use a different forum, like phpBB, Invision, or any regular forum that already has everything built in and that doesn’t try to rebuild the wheel. Sorry markus!!
Agreed.
I’ve used phpBB and hated it, mybb was better, but the times when I did need to add a plugin it was messy, Invision costs money 
Minus a couple quirks, 'm very happy with Vanilla forums, so I don’t see anything changing, sorry!,
Fixed up the members list, looks much better with this theme.
