I’m having a problem trying to get it to find the episodes from my newznab indexer.
Even when manually downloaded and I try to import manually, sonarr rejects it.
File is named properly and it’s set as a daily too.

This should be fixed soon. It is a scene naming issue, just waiting for the scene name to be added to sonarr. For now you can change the name of the download to “Late Show with Stephen Colbert”

Not sure I get what the issue here is. There is currently an nzb out there with the correct name that is still being completely ignored by Sonarr…

This. I appreciate the workaround listed above ( I think it is a workaround? ) but I don’t understand it. Can you slightly elaborate? Thank you very much.

Just refresh the series, the alias is added.

In the future you can use Manual Import to import something you manually grabbed or rename the series name in the file to include the series name Sonarr expects:

Example:
Stephen.Colbert.2015.09.00.HDTV-releasegroup to The.Late.Show.with.Stephen.Colbert.2015.09.00.HDTV-releasegroup to

I tried this and couldn’t get it to work properly.

I’ll keep waiting for an update on it. SB currently works with it.

You can fill in the series/season/episode manually and import it.

The issue is the series is called Late Show with Stephen Colbert your filename has The before it, the common release name is justStephen Colbert`.

I’ve added The Late Show with Stephen Colbert as an alias now (in addition to Stephen Colbert).

You might also want to try setting the series type to daily instead of standard.

My Sonarr can’t download episodes automatically either (I could manually do it but that kind of defeats the purpose of Sonarr!) It states by each episode the following errors:

2.6 GB is larger than maximum allowed: 0 B
Episode wasn’t requested
Wrong season

My quality settings are (I believe) set up correctly. See attached screenshots.

No, it is set as “Standard”. If I set it to “Daily” then it can’t find any episodes at all. I have seen this for a show before, sadly I can’t remember which show, or what I did to fix it.

Is this “Release Rejected” issue for the new Colbert show going to be fixed or what? Sonarr KNOWS about the episodes of this show and can find them on the indexer but rejects all of them. I can manually download the nzb from the indexer and manually add to nzbget to pull them down but that defeats the purpose of Sonarr. I hope this gets resolved today. Thanks!

Series that are released using the date instead of SxxEyy need to be set as Daily.

The original issue was an alternate was needed, if you have already refreshed the series and still are having issues we need ((debug logs)).

If I set it as daily, it doesn’t find any episodes at all.

Then thats a problem with your indexer. I get results if I set the series to daily and they are picked up properly.

I use good private indexers. Last night, no matter what I did, it wouldn’t pick up the episodes. It’s working now this morning. Thanks for the help.

Either the alternate names were updated locally for you or something was fixed on there end, glad to hear its resolved.

Season search isn’t really supported for Daily series, try searching individually.
