Hi again Marcus
I noticed in my log files a lot of the errors mentioned in the subject line.
Log file is here http://paste2.org/4V2MhIIg
All episodes it mentions are in the library and everything seems fine otherwise.
Any thoughts ?

Usually happens when the series is deleted and episode files still exist, restarting drone should clean it up, if not it would be helpful if you could PM me a link to download your database so I can resolve it.
Definitely haven’t deleted any series or episodes.
Drone’s had many restarts.
Here is a copy of the main db and the log db along with a fresh log file
REMOVED
Cheers mate
Can you enable trace logs and post it? Not seeing anything that would cause this yet.
I would… but
I turned on trace logs, deleted all existing logs and restarted drone. Now I have LOTS of log files but the error doesn’t appear in any of them ?
I’ll turn trace logs off and see it if comes back.
UPDATE: The errors have returned with trace logs off, is this expected ?
Hi Marcus, thought I’d leave this for a while to see if went away with some updates,
Unfortunately it’s still generating PAGES of these errors
See latest log http://pastebin.com/8NeiqyG9 (small portion, 500k limit)
Everything seems to be operating just fine regardless, any thoughts ?
Really need to see take logging to understand what process is trying to re-import files that already exist, here should be a number of checks that prevent this behavior.
If you refreah one of the series that is reporting errors (almost human) does it fill up the logs?
What path is your drone factory folder set to?
It appears that running as Administrator has fixed it. I’m running from exe not as a service.
Any ideas why that would be required ?
My media network consists of 2 machines. Both are Win 8.1 64bit, both have the same user name and password and all accounts are full admin.
Around half the media is on the same machine as Drone runs on, the other half is on the Media Center box.
All mappings are UNC paths.
No, can’t think of a reason why that worked, unless its not happening right now (same as when enabling debug logging didn’t show any issues).
I’ll keep an eye on it for a few days and let you know.
I spoke too soon. It’s still throwing up oodles of those exceptions.
One thing I did notice though was it’s only doing it for the TV series that exist on the same machine as Drone is running on. I have used UNC paths everywhere, so \\as\raid5\Media\TV Episodes instead of D:\Media\TV Episodes.
I can of course access everything with full read/write permissions if I use the UNC address to get to my TV shows from said machine, and all active shows and new series are on this machine, the other is for shows that have ended.
Any thoughts ?
The fact that you’re using UNC paths shouldn’t change how it handles them, even if it’s a UNC path to a local machine. Trace logs really are the next step at this point.
Cleared all logs and have turned on trace logging. How much logging would you like to have ?
Trace will likely only give a few minutes worth when doing something like a refresh, but you should be able to force a refresh for one of the affected series and it should show up in the logs.
Here you go markus, trace log with quite a lot of the errors in it
http://tny.cz/b4da9f52 (used tinypaste, has a bigger size limit)

It looked like you had multiple series pointed to the same path, a quick DB query on your old copy of the DB shows
Better Call Saul
and The Strain
are pointed to: \\\as\\raid5\\Media\\TV Episodes
which could cause all sorts of issues when rescanning, and is worse than two series sharing the same folder. There are a number of checks to prevent this now, but those are recent.
Fix those series as well as any other ones incorrectly linked ones and keep an eye on things for a few days to see if the issue is gone.
ah, seems they are the only 2 with that issue. I removed and re-added them and this time a folder was created for them in that directory. I assume from your statement above that when I added these originally there was a bug with drone that has since been fixed… or did I do something wrong ? Just as well those shows hadn’t aired yet, I assume it would have got messy.
Thanks for looking at it markus.
Cheers
Not aware of such a bug when adding a series, but I’m not sure what could have caused it, unless it was manually changed.
Nope, just went add series, searched for it, picked the location where I wanted it to live and clicked add. No different to how I just re-did them.
Anyways, who cares, fixed now and working
