Switched from Sick to NZBDrone and

After two hard drives failed I lost everything on my machine. When I rebuilt from scratch I thought I try NZBDrone instead of Sick. I like the interface a lot more on NZBDrone (duh) but I can’t quite figure out how to do “batch downloads”. BTW I am using linux and version 2.0.0.1269.

Example: I have a TV show that is currently broadcasting in the middle of it’s season, say episode 5. I remember watching episode 1 and 2 and don’t really care to re-download them. So all I really care for is episode 3 on. In Sick I would have just added the TV show and defaulted to everything “Not Wanted” then go into the show, select episode 3 on and choose “Wanted”.

I can’t figure out how to do this swiftly in ND. I can go in and manually select episode to be “Monitored” but when I do the “Search for all episodes in the season” it ignores the “Monitored” status of an episode. So I moved on to just clicking auto search on the individual episodes that have already aired. Well if I do that too quickly ND gets stuck and automatic searches stop working until a restart (maybe a linux/mono problem?).

So am I missing something or is there no way to accomplish what I want to do quickly?

Either way devs you guys should be proud, this is an amazing app. Thank you for your work.

The solution we want to eventually get to is prompting for the episodes to search for when searching for a season/series (same as renaming works), default to missing + monitored.

Besides clicking 100x you’re probably best to using Wanted -> Missing to search, since it searches for individual episodes and can do it at per page (also have all missing ready to go in the develop branch).

Thanks.

Yeah Wanted -> Missing will work. I just wish it would let me filter by show.

I might switch to develop branch. Is it pretty stable?

Yeah, a few issues here and there, but 100+ running on it with mostly zero issues.
