Stop spinning my drives up every 12 hours

I recently switched from SickBeard and found this program much better. However, there is one glaring flaw with my unRAID server. Every single time it does a library update it spins up all 22 disks in my server because it has to read from them. This increases power usage and wear on my drives. I do not need it to update the library so often. I tried disabling “Analyse video files” but it still spins them all up.

From what I see, there is no way to increase the 12 hour cycle to something more reasonable like 48-72 hours. Not only is it “reading” from the drives, but it is also “writing” to the drives. This is quite a deal breaker for me, is there some way to fix this or is there a way I can set this to run less?

EDIT: I’ve isolated this to the “Change Air Date” setting. Setting it to “none” fixes this, but then that breaks my “New TV Shows” in XBMC. If I don’t have this on, then Sonarr sets the dates to something weird like 2001.

Are those 0SEC releases? IRC was talking about an issue with 0SEC releases and XBMC’s Recently added, I believe the file’s original modified time is used on a move (an import done by Sonarr) as the file isn’t altered.

I just tested with a BATV release, and it did not change the date… You may be on to something.

SABnzbd has a feature to set the dates of files to the date downloaded, by enabling the ignore_unrar_dates special setting, which should fix 0SEC releases.
