Start up port used

I just ran into some issues with Sonarr not launching after restarting within the app…

1. Does the start up port need to be 443?

2. I changed the port in the config.xml file to be 8989 and that’s how I got Sonarr working again. Shouldn’t this change update #1?

Ok I changed the port in the config and it worked initially…

1. After closing the tab, it switched the port back to 443.

2. I tried changing it again while running the shortcut as admin and still have issues connecting with the website.

The port should not be 443, maybe the SslPort, but even then it’s likely better to use something else.

Closing which tab? Sonarr’s settings aren’t saved automatically. If something is setting the port then the settings are saved it would update and take effect the next time Sonarr is started.

I meant the interface. When I changed the port in the config file, it didn’t reflect back in the interface. Could have been because the service was still running so didn’t pick up the change. I’m good now, though, thank you.
