It would be great if we could search for sports shows like football, V8’s, F1, UFC and to automatically track and download them.
Sickrage.tv currently supports this feature and might be worth have a look at their code to see how they achieve this.
If they aren’t on tvdb then drone won’t handle them. SR uses both tvdb and tvrage for series/episode data, which is why they can handle some things.
At this time we have no plans to add direct tvrage support.
@EvilMonkeySi, I use custom RSS searches in SABnzbd to acquire things like the current season episodes of F1 or MotoGP. Not perfect as sometimes you’ll get the same race twice, but all in all it works very well.
I’m pretty sure RSS is the only way to get those types of sporting events regularly. Sickrage doesnt work either. the naming convention never ties in a seasonal format well.
