Specials should allow for search without S00EXX numbering

Specials are not always (at least half the time) posted on indexers with the S00EXX numbering scheme. The searching should be updated (for specials only - this doesn’t really apply at all to normal seasons) to search for both S00EXX - specials but also the variants

:+1:

I also have issues with specials.

I never saw specials named as S00 at hungarian trackers. Mostly as SXXE00 or just using title in name, like
XYTVSHOW - Title.of.special.episode

bump ! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

It probably depends on the indexer, but Sonarr does search by title for specials. Without more information we can’t help.

I have this issue as well. I am only using RARBG as an indexer - no results for many shows with manual search.

  1. Doctor Who - Christmas Special

Eg: Doctor.Who.2005.S09.Christmas.Special.The.Husbands.of.River.Song.1080p.WEB-DL.DD5.1.H264-NTb[rartv]
Eg2: Doctor_Who_2005.2015_Christmas_Special.The_Husbands_Of_River_Song.720p_HDTV_x264-FoV[rartv]

  1. Black Mirror - Christmas Special

Eg: Black.Mirror.White.Christmas.1080p.WEB-DL.AAC2.0.H.264-Coo7[rartv]
Eg2: Black Mirror S02 Special White Christmas HDTV x264-RiVER [oldeztv]

Thanks for the info, looks like Sonarr was never searching for specials on RARBG, we’ll fix that up for the next release.
