I installed Sonarr on an Ubuntu system about a week ago and have been having trouble with the UI since Day 1. I access the UI from a separate Windows machine and my browser of choice is Chrome. In chrome, the UI did not load. I would get past the login popup and then the screen would just stay stuck on the screen with 4 dots.
I tried in IE and the UI worked, so I assumed Sonarr required something from IE and would only work on IE. I added all my TV shows and configured it and all was good.
Today morning, I tried to access the UI through IE and it is getting stuck on the 4 dots screen as well. I tried stopping and starting sonarr, with no change in behaviour. The log files (nzbdrone.txt) seems to have no entry related to the UI that I can see.
Any help in troubleshooting and resolving this will be appreciated.
In Chrome if you press F12 then in the window that opens go to the Network tab it would be great if you could pass along a screenshot of the results of loading the Sonarr UI if it fails, also check of “Disable cache” there, that will ensure everything is redownloaded from the server.
IE is actually the least tested browser, Chrome and FF get all the attention.
I have zipped it up and uploaded it to Google Drive. A stupid question, how do I PM? I can’t seem to find a PM link on your profile page.
Also, I noticed today that when using Chrome on the Ubuntu server, the UI works fine. So, the problem seems to be just on my Windows machine, where none of the browsers are working.
I will try and get another machine to try this on and will then attempt the re-install on the weekend.
I have re-installed Sonarr this weekend and the Web GUI is working fine in Chrome from a remote machine.
I’m not sure what caused this; but a re-install seems to have fixed it.
