I collect Tv Show remuxes, I did all manually ( yeah I know !), and I’m just importing the shows from disk > sonarr and it thinks all episodes are HDTV-720p ?? How is that possible?
My files are all named following plex standard of : TvShow Name - SE01E01 - Episode Name.
Currently if the filename does not contain the quality it will use the extension to determine the quality (and .mkv = HDTV 720p). There are some changes that will be in a future version that will use the resolution to help detect the quality, but without the quality in the filename somewhere at best you’ll see the resolution improve, so in this case with a 1080p remux, HDTV-1080p, which is obviously wrong, but Sonarr has no way of knowing the source unless it is part of the filename.

Any ETA on that future version? It should not be hard to grab the information from the file with mediainfo or even directly from plex IDK…
Quite easy to achieve with FileBot AFAIK, but depends if you actually want to do it, Plex will keep tracking the watched status even after the filename changes as well.

You can update the quality Sonarr thinks the files are from the series details page, but that’d be one series at a time.
