Sonarr Restriction

Hello, I’ve been having issue with restriction in Sonarr.

I’ve set two restriction;

  1. One that should only download serie from a specific group. Has a tag to identify it.
  2. Second one is the default one which applies to all my series. Has no tag.

Somehow, for the serie that I apply restriction #1, it still checks if it matches #2.
Is there any way to fix this?

Untagged Restrictions will apply to every series, so what you’re seeing is expected. If the two restrictions conflict with each other they need to be applied via tags.

So even if I have a serie tagged with #1, #2 will still apply?

If so, is there a way to update every serie tag at once or do I have to do it one by one?

The restriction applies if there is a matching tag or if there no tag on the restriction, it doesn’t limit to one tag.

Unfortunately there isn’t a way to update them in a batch at this time in the UI, the only work around to that would be to update directly in the DB.

Well damn.

I guess it isn’t that bad, since I only have two series that I want different download.

Is there any plan for more restriction customization in the future? For exemple, I’d like to have my restrictions applied if it match the rule I have set. (If it matches #X, apply it and skip the rest; If it matches none, go to the default one)

No, nothing like that is planned at this time.
