Description of issue:
Hello all,

I have a Synology DS218+, 10GB memory and with newish Seagate drives.

The 12 hourly refresh takes about 40 minutes to complete, half that if I disable “Rescan Series Folder after Refresh”. I don’t have metadata enabled.

I’ve looked at the trace logs and there’s nothing unusual happening there that I’m aware of. Each series takes between 10 seconds to several minutes to complete. Obviously the more episodes, the longer it takes. There are 60 series being monitored.

It’s setup as per Dr Frankenstein’s Container Manager guide and it all works well.

The file I’ve attached is the refresh for Grand Designs which is 26 seasons long. It takes a minutes to complete. I tried the same on a windows PC and it’s basically instant.

So, is this normal for a synology NAS? The hard drives are really working for the duration.

Sounds pretty normal for a low power Celeron that your NAS has, coupled with a HDDs instead of an NVMe SSD for the 1-2 combo.
