Sonarr on Qnap - Adding a remote windows share

Sonarr version: 2.0.0.4146
Mono version: 4.2.2
OS: Qnap (QTS?)
Debug logs: Invalid request Validation failed: – Invalid Path

Description of issue:

I am running sonarr on a Qnap TS-451

I am trying to add a network share that is running on my windows 10 computer. I have tried using the UNC path without any success even tho the share is open to anyone (for testing purposes.)
This returns a “Invalid request Validation failed: – Invalid Path” error in the log.

I have also added the share to the Qnap as a network connection, this is what i have used to connect to the share from both plex and couchpotato but sonarr does not seem to be able to see the files in the share.
The path to the share is: “/mnt/rf/nd/0/040a0c0bdd7b977ecb823edcc730a98e754203f9/”, i am able to add it but it does not find any shows.
This does not add anything to the log.

I might be doing something wrong and was wondering if it was possible to do what i am trying to do or is it something limiting sonarr from reading the share?
Similar search for the error i seem to get seems to be from winodows computers running Sonarr trying to access the qnap, not the other way around.

Are you able to browse the folders in the share outside of Sonarr (through the QNAP)? If Sonarr can access the mounted share, but not see anything inside it may be permissions that is preventing it from reading the contents.

Yes i am able to access the share on the Qnap.
Plex and Couchpotato is also running on the Qnap and they are using the share without any problem.
I made a user on the windows computer that i used to connect the share. The user has all the permissions it can have.

Does the user running Sonarr on the QNAP have permissions to access the mount?

I only have the Admin user on it at the moment so i would guess that Sonarr is running as the Admin user, and the Admin user has access to the remote connection.

There may be a service account setup automatically for it (I’d hope so, running as admin is far from ideal), but I don’t know how that works on QNAP.

Yes i was thinking the same but i could find no info about it.

Maybe there is some information in how its running? Not sure how to check that on QNAP though.
